      PROPHET SKITRA

Pure single-target encounter that emphasizes on raid communication as the boss splits the raid into two separate perspectives of the fight, the adds and abilities.

There are two phases to this encounter, which repeat themselves all throughout the encounter. The fight gets harder and harder on the healers the longer it goes with a permanent stacking Shadow damage debuff, punishing you for being slow on damage and communication.

Upon the start of the encounter, Skitra will apply two different debuffs to different halves of the raid, similarly to Sivara. This debuff will not change however, and it determines what you will be able to see.

You will receive either Clouded Mind or Twisted MindThis debuff will last the entire encounter, and has no affect other than altering your vision of the fight itself.

      Phase 1

This phase is the only phase where Skitra is actually present to be damaged. Within this phase, you will need to minimize movement and stack as tightly as possible behind the boss wherever the tanks centralize the boss after the 2nd Phase ends.

The positioning of the raid is vital to handle the Shred Psyche ability as efficiently as possible, and to nullify as few Images of Absolution as necessary.

Shred Psyche: Debuffs a random player. The player must run to the marked location far from the raid, as when it expires you will explode for raid-wide damage reduced by distance and spawn an add that will mimic an identical explosion cast shortly after.

On Mythic, only those who share the same Clouded Mind or Twisted Mind debuff as the targeted Pysche player will be able to see the add that spawns from them and be able kill it.

For example, if Bob with Clouded Mind gets Shred Psyche and drops it on Square, Reginald with Twisted Mind will not only be unable to kill Bob’s Shred Psyche add, but will not even know it is there.

Similarly on Mythic, the wall of Images of Absolution will only be visible by one half of the raid, either the half with Clouded Mind or Twisted Mind, depending on which the boss picks. The half that can see the images must communicate their location and CC them ASAP.

      Phase 2

Everytime the boss loses 20% of their health pool, Phase 2 will begin. This phase works exactly like it does on Heroic, 1 Tank will mark all visible Illusions to them while the opposite tank will call out which is the real Skitra to kill.

You will need to remain stacked throughout this phase for healing, and be wary of Images of Absolution – both ones you can see, and others that you cannot.

It is important to end this phase as quickly as possible, as the longer you are in it, the more stacking Shadow damage debuff the raid receives. You will see this phase a total of 4 times, and it may be prudent to Bloodlust in the later portion of the fight if the healers are struggling.
