      N’ZOTH THE CORRUPTOR

Heavily scripted fight that revolves around a great deal of personal responsibility and mechanical awareness to manage your Sanity as effectively as possible. The Phases are shuffled around for Mythic, with the addition of a Mythic only phase later in the encounter.

Azeroth’s Radiance: On Mythic, your extra action button will now place a circle around you that will restore 5 Sanity to everyone inside of it every 1 second for a 4 second channel and only has 1 use in the entire fight. (See white circle in picture for radius size)

Note that we will plan the use of these throughout the fight, and each use will need to occur while the entire raid is stacked and all able to benefit from regaining Sanity. Not all 20 extra actions can be used for Sanity regen however, as some are key to overcoming the Secret Phase.

      Phase 1

Upon pulling N’Zoth, he will spawn his set of tentacles on either side of the room immediately. He will no longer drag the entire raid into the Mindgate phase at pull on Mythic.

As you would on Heroic, the raid is split in half to handle each set of tentacles at the same time and kill them ASAP.

The add kill priority is: Basher Tentacle, Spike Tentacle and Corruptor Tentacle.

Bashers must be killed ASAP as they hurt tanks a lot, and deal more damage the longer they are alive. Anytime you are killing adds, you must keep interrupting Corruptors. Spike Tentacles are more dangerous on Mythic as they constantly send out random damage to people in the raid that can’t be interrupted.

Whenever a Corruptor Tentacle dies, it will spawn 2 Mythic-only Psychophage adds into the Mindgate Realm. Whenever an Exposed Synapse dies in the Mindgate Realm, it will spawn 2 Mythic-only Psychophage adds in the Physical Realm.

Psychophage: These adds must be picked up by the tank. Whenever they reach their target, they will begin channeling Devour Thought AoE around them which will deal large damage and drain 10 Sanity from anyone hit. They must be stunned, slowed and CC’d in any way possible and cleaved down – do not focus these as it’s a waste. When they die, they will spawn a smaller AoE zone similar to Devour Thought that will drain 30 Sanity if you are hit by it.

ParanoiaOn Mythic, the Paranoia debuff affects the entire raid (excluding those inside the Mindgate and tanks). You will need to spread even better than Heroic and find your partner ASAP and move together. Stay in pairs, as Paranoia will often overlap with the Mindgrasp pull-in mechanic as well. Regardless your role, you need to stay together.

An idea of how to spread with Paranoia during Mindgrasp. You will never be dragged into anyone that isn’t ontop of you as you are all dragged at the same speed, so try to create 2 rows and spread.

      #1 Mindgate

As shown in the Stankie guide, these are the paths the Mindgate groups will take inside. Each number is a Synapse you need to kite Psychus to and kill next to him.

On Mythic, a selection of bursty DPS will be sent into the Mindgate Phase to deal with Psychus ASAP. The mechanics of the Mindgate phase are exactly the same as Heroic, with the addition of the Psychophage adds mentioned earlier chasing you around.

Once Psychus hits 6-7 stacks of Synaptic Shock you burn him down and get ready to head back to the Physical Realm.

      #2 Mindgate

      #1 Phase 2

Once both Mindgates are concluded and N’Zoth comes out his Shattered Ego stun, Phase 2 will begin and it is the same as Heroic, but N’Zoth will have around 70-75% or so health left at this point.

Space management is crucial to this phase because of Evoke Anguish. We will need to spread as efficiently as possible to make sure we do not run out of room towards the end of the fight, and our puddles do not cut us off when needing to avoid the beams.

Evoke Anguish: On Mythic, Evoke will place a swirly around everyone in the raid ontop of the puddle it will drop. This forces much better spreading, but also makes it easier to visualize how much space you can take up.

Thought Harvester: These adds spawn 2 at a time on Mythic, and need to be nuked down ASAP. The Harvest Thoughts soak must hit 5 Players each time or it will drain 100 sanity from the entire raid and wipe us. Any soak that can be immuned by multiple players will need to be, and both adds will always channel together.

The Gateway to the Secret Mythic Phase will open 2mins and 35secs after Phase 2 begins. As shown on the map, it spawns in a set location and you will need to Warlock Gateway to it and enter it ASAP as it opens, but burn N’Zoth as much as possible just before leaving.

      Secret Phase

The Gateway will take you to the Chamber of Heart. In this area, you will need to fight a mini-boss, the Voidspawn Annihilator.

Whilst fighting this mini-boss, you will need to deal with the Titan Bombs that will spawn in a set pattern around the room. The bombs will activate and detonate shortly after, each dealing massive damage reduced by distance.

The bombs can be deactivated by any players with their extra-action button Heart use left. This means each set of bombs will need a group of players to deactivate the closest bombs to the raid, leaving the furthest to detonate on its own.

#1 Bombs: Disable 2 of the closest.

      #2 Bombs: Disable 3.

      #3 Bombs: Disable 3.

      #4 Bombs: Disable 3.

In addition to disabling bombs whenever they appear, you will need to spread & move constantly to avoid the spam of swirlies coming in from the Dark Matter channel.

      #2 Phase 2

Once the mini-boss dies, the gateway will re-open to send you back to N’Zoth to repeat Phase 2 again. Mechanics are the same, it’s just now we have less room for Anguish as the old pools from the previous Phase 2 are still on the ground.

At this stage we are almost completely out of necks to use for Sanity regen and it’s just a race against time.

This is a less-taxing P2 as sanity isn’t that important anymore. The goal here is to maximize output into the boss, stay alive as much as you can and by the end we will force the entire raid to lose all their sanity to burn N’Zoth into oblivion from the 0 Sanity Gift of N’Zoth buff.

Do this whole song and dance and you will ignore the adds in this phase and simply burn N’Zoth out of existence!
