      SLUDGEFIST

A primarily patchwerk style fight with a catch. Positioning yourself to avoid the giant’s attacks, and to avoid killing yourself is key to overcoming this chain-bearing brute. The boss has no phases, but it’s a strict damage check as once you are out of pillars for Sludgefist to slam into, his charge will surely bring the house down on us.

Every time Sludgefist reaches 100 rage he will target a random player with Heedless Charge. The player must hide behind a pillar to lead Sludgefist to slam into it, dealing heavy raidwide damage and stunning him for 12 seconds. This stun causes him to take 100% increased damage. Anyone caught in the path of his charge will be instantly killed.

In addition, whenever a pillar is shattered Crumbling Foundation will begin ticking on the raid and Falling Rubble will start crashing down on the floor that needs to be avoided.

If Sludgefist fails to hit a pillar or if there are no more pillars to stop him and he charges into a wall instead, he will shatter the foundations of the Castle and wipe the raid.

      charge mechanic

Sludgefist will Chain Link two players together. They have 6 seconds to group up with each other. If they do not group up within 6 seconds – or if they move further than 12 yards from each other after this 6 second period has passed – the chain will break, killing both players instantly with lethal levels of physical damage.

Tanks will need to make sure to keep Sludgefist atleast 20 yards away from pillars, as his Destructive Stomp will destroy any within its range.

Watch out during his raid-wide Colossal Roar that you are not knocked back into bad stuff.

Sludgefist will gain Gruesome Rage at 30% health, gaining 20% damage and attack speed. During this period, we will bloodlust and focus him down before we run out of pillars for him to smash his ugly mug into.

          Heroic Difficulty

Sludgefist will occasionally cast Chain Slam on a single ranged player. This players will be rooted for 4 seconds, after which they will be pulled directly into the boss along with any player in the circle around them. All other ranged and healers will need to stand in the circle and be pulled into the boss together to avoid chain deaths and to keep the ranged stack together.

          Mythic Difficulty

Sludgefist will Chain Link the entire raid, linking each player to another for the rest of the fight.

If Chain Slam fails to hit at least 4 players, the boss will immediately gain 100 rage which will cause him cast Heedless Charge on the tank. In addition, any target hit by Chain Slam will get a 12 second bleed on them.

Whenever Sludgefist casts Destructive Stomp, everyone in the raid will gain a Seismic Shift zone around them in a 5yard radius. Avoid the stomp and spread out.

In addition, whenever the boss charges into a pillar and shatters it, stones will fly across the room, leaving void zones on the ground that will need to be soaked multiple times to avoid raidwide damage. This is how the flying debris needs to be soaked.
