Sheltie- feral druid – social joint application with Beefelo – Accepted

What sort of membership are you applying for?

  • Social
  • What characters are you applying with? Please link from armory, wowprogress or some other site, in order of importance to you. Include also your main character if you are applying with an alt.

  • Sheltie (main) - feral druid (as you'll rapidly realise once you check the armoury, it's a new character) I do have a few alts, including my previous main (Ceol)- however the feral druid will be my main focus come BFA.

  • Why did you choose the class/spec you’re applying with and what kinds of content have you played on it so far? What experience you have playing other specs of your class?

  • Throughout the entire eleven years I've been playing this game I've always typically either main'ed a priest or a feral. However, typically the problem has always been that the moment I mention I have a decently geared healer alt I often wind up starting healing the odd raid- then winding up as a healing raider. As we really are going to be strictly social this expansion, I would love to finally actually just make the priest an alt. Experience: BC - Priest (raided everything up to sunwell to include bear runs) Wrath - Priest (cleared all bosses in ten man herioc) Cata - feral (however we had a huge break during cata- so this was only for the first few weeks of the first tier) WoD - feral (however we were strictly really casual throughout WoD due to real life- so no raiding undertaken). Legion - priest (cleared all raids in heroic- undertook some mythic in tomb and nighthold).
  • Tell us about your history in WoW. Previous realms, guilds, best achievements, favourite mounts and anything else you want to add.

  • For about the past 5+ years, we've been firmly rooted within Draenor. Prior to this we were on Ravenholdt- an rp-pvp server we joined to be with Matt's online forum friends. We also dabbled briefly with being alliance during WoD (silvermoon), but that didn't last long - stuff stormwind, we'll take the undercity any day of the week (press F). Mount wise- it's got to be the new fox mount. I ran the withered instance with three alts for eight months every three days before the note bloody dropped. I never want to see another withered in my life- however I do love the mount! Going to C+P this from the other half, as we've always played as a pair. If you'd like more in and out details of exacting guilds, just ask and I'll happily provide a list. We've been through a good amount of guilds over the past decade or so. And at one point during wrath, we even ran our own heroic progress guild. It was probably the best experience we've ever had in this game, and managing to down Heroic LK before the nerfs came in was probably the best achievement we ever had.
  • Who are you outside WoW? Please make sure to include things like the name your friends call you, your age, where do you live, what do you do when not playing WoW, family situation and anything else you’d like to add here that would affect your ability to play with Weekend Warriors in the coming months.

  • Hi there- I'm Robyn, a 29 year old vet student from the UK (midlands). I live with my long suffering other half and three dogs. I'm now in my fourth year (out of five) at Uni, and needless to say it keeps my extremely busy. In fact, I'd say too busy- the main reason we had to step down at our previous guild was due to the fact that despite best intentions I just couldn't commit to any raiding schedule. To put it in perspective - when I'm not at Uni I'm frequently on placement, which involves everything from 12 hour seven day weeks to being on call. However, I have also played WoW with my other half (Beefelo) for the last eleven years. I love this game dearly, we have raided hardcore in the past and whilst deep down I'd love to return to this- real life just isn't going to let me even raid 2/3 days a week consistently. I would also like to mention here that I have exams coming up in September, so we might be a bit more AFK than you'd expect during the beginning of an expansion up until the end of September- however I do anticipate us taking every opportunity we can to log on for the odd dungeon! Outside of WoW I'm a keen long distance runner (currently building my way back up to marathon distance) and any other time I have is spent with the dogs/ gaming with the other half.
  • How did you hear about Weekend Warriors? What are you expecting from us? What can you offer to us?

  • We've been looking at you guys since we joined Draenor as you are a weekend raiding guild, but for one reason or another we didn't wind up applying back then. We've been on Draenor for a good few years now, and you've been a constant guild name we've seen hanging about in capital city. As for our expectations - as I said, we have raided hardcore in the past, we have done undertaken mythic raiding in legion. I love raiding dearly and am desperate to find a new home with guildies who take the game seriously. With the new mythic+ system and our limited gaming time, we are really keen to make our 'progression' doing mythic+- and to get through the higher keys, it would be fantastic to be able to form a guildie group with people we know are good players plus can have a laugh watching me no doubt become a splat cat at some point. As for what we can offer- we're a pair of friendly geeks. We don't take life too seriously, we enjoy having a laugh- and we'd also be happy to join in any guild dungeon groups going when available. I can't promise that we will be around nightly, but we'd be more than happy to join in any guild shenanigans when we are around!
  • What kind of computer, internet connection and ingame latency/framerate you have? (please provide links if possible).

  • I'll be honest with you- given I've been a student for the past four years- money has been tight. I'm currently playing on a macbook pro - which runs WoW better than expected surprisingly! Our internet connection is a fibre 30 meg that we've never really had any issues.
  • The following questions are provided by our members and used by us as a maturity/sense of humour check. Please read them carefully and try to give your answer some thought as your answers will give us the best guide to your 'fit' with our community.

If you were an orc, what would you be and why?

  • Thrall- green Jesus has storyline plot armor- who doesn't want to live forever? Even if they do have to mope a bit now because he had to give his hammer to every newb shaman that walked past.
  • Whats the perfect time of day and why?

  • If you'd have asked me this a few years ago, I'd have said late evening- but as I've gotten older, and a 'late' night is now 10pm I really enjoy early mornings. Can't beat an early morning run when the world is dead.
  • Please name one thing you LIKE most about WoW and one thing you particularly DISLIKE and why.

  • Like? You can't beat fishing. In fact, it's the one regret I have from legion- I didn't undertake nearly enough fishing! Can't beat kicking back with a podcast and doing fishing. As for dislike- it's got to be gnomes. All gnomes need to burn in a giant Mekkatorque shaped fire.

Hi Robyn and thanks for the joint application. What happens now is we put a link to this app in the member's section so members can discuss it and bring any questions they have to you. Normally expect an answer on a social/flex application within 48 hours. Please check back from time to time in case there are any questions that need answering as this will help speed the process. Thanks. Chi
