  • Why did you choose the class/spec you’re applying with and what kinds of content have you played on it so far? What experience you have playing other specs of your class?

  • I’m an illidan fanboi. I used to play mage since vanilla, got bored of ranged and switched to warrior in cataclysm. loved the melee playstyle and as soon as demon hunters were I mained demon hunter. I played all of legion mythic raids as tank and dps. I also pushed high m+ as both specs and still do.
  • Tell us about your history in WoW. Previous realms, guilds, best achievements, favourite mounts and anything else you want to add.

  • Classic WoW: Cleared it all, but I never entered Naxxrammas. I was in a guild called Discordia Deceived on SkullCrusher. The Burning Crusade: I was in a guild called Nox-Eternum on Azjol-Nerub. We spent like 3 months in Karazhan, until I got promoted to a raidleader and within a month we cleared Karazhan/Gruul. I left them after that as they weren't progressing as much as I wished for. Good bunch of people though. I then moved to Raging Nemesis on Sylvanas where I cleared TBC content with them. I quit WoW after that for a while to focus on my studies and came back after the release of Wotlk. Wrath of the Lich King: I can't remember the name of the guild here nor the realm, I think the realm was Twilight's Hammer and the guild was Remember The Name or The Council. We cleared Naxx/Ulduar/ICC together, was a really friendly and relaxed environment. We only attempted ICC HardModes, we killed them all on Hardmode except for Professor, Sindragosa, and the Lich King. Cataclysm: I had quit WoW before the end of Wotlk to focus on my studies again, and I came back after Cataclysm was launched. I joined a guild called Trolling Paladin Forums on Emerald Dream. Very nice and casual bunch. We cleared all the normal content together but we didn't do any serious heroics; I was also a raid-leader here during Firelands. Unfortunately the guild disbanded in early MoP due to lack of recruits on a low populated realm. Mists of Pandaria: 11 IRL friends and I started a guild, but it was going nowhere as everyone was slacking thinking it is alright since we are all friends. So I decided to leave and joined "The Beauties" on Twisting Nether. I consider myself lucky to have joined The Beauties. I applied as a Fury warrior with ilvl 483 while they were progressing on Heroic modes in HoF. Ironically, I rarely raided as Fury hehe. On my first raid I was Protection and we killed Blade Lord on Heroic, my ilvl was 483 as well in prot. Before the end of the patch we had 5/6 HC MSV and 3/6 HC HoF. Come ToT, we had 1/13HC down in the 3rd or 4th week I can't remember. But there has been a lot of drama going on since our HC progress in MSV/HoF. Some people had enough of it while progressing on Ji-kun HC and Horridon HC so they left, 2 of them were our best healers and officers. I got promoted to Raidleader/Officer and kept the guild together with the GM and another officer. We were the only ones preparing tactics for all boss fights and even discussing them together on forums/skype while at work xD. It all finally fell apart after our new recruits just weren't good enough, some people couldn't take it anymore and everyone just moved on to different guilds. I am still in-touch with 3 players from the beauties as I have a very good relationship with them, mostly because we were doing all the organizing and coordination of the raids. I joined Genesis after The-Beauties. They're a nice community that has been on for a long time. It is my first 25-man guild since TBC though! I left Genesis after a few raids with them, I didn't feel very welcome, and I was 3rd choice tank. Also the atmosphere during their raids did not suit me very much. I joined Offspring at that point and enjoyed some of my favorite raiding times with them. I was the 2nd tank as I sometimes used to go Fury spec in raids when we needed only 1 tank. I was also involved in planning tactics and strategies in ToT heroic with other members. We cleared ToT heroic and got server 2nd world 198th, this was back in our old realm Outland. I had to quit WoW after we cleared ToT heroic because of my work. I had to travel overseas since mid 2013 to the far east. In early WoD I started raiding again with offspring, but overtime some of us wanted to raid more than 3days per week so that we progress even more, some of us were not able to do that and thus we decided it was best to let the people who want to progress join better guilds, and so they did, many of them moving on to Malorum, our mage, Ithax moved to a top world 30 guild as well if I recall right. Our DK is currently in a world 28 guild. We all still have our alts in offspring and talk from time to time, we also have all our battletags and play other games like Heroes of the storm together. Anyways after the guild broke up, I stopped playing WoW because I wanted a small break, and WoD wasn't much fun anyways to be honest, or I guess it was but maybe I was just sad I couldn't raid with offspring anymore.
  • Who are you outside WoW? Please make sure to include things like the name your friends call you, your age, where do you live, what do you do when not playing WoW, family situation and anything else you’d like to add here that would affect your ability to play with Weekend Warriors in the coming months.

  • I live in Victoria, Canada now, I moved from Dubai in January. I’m a big football fan, Arsenal FC. I enjoy powerlifting and recently joined an amateur football league. Occasionally I play age of empires, Heroes of the storm and football manager.
  • How did you hear about Weekend Warriors? What are you expecting from us? What can you offer to us?

  • From Elanqar, a very close IRL friend. I’m expecting a friendly community that aims to clear as much mythic as possible. As you might have already noticed this is my 2nd application in a few months. What has changed is that I joined a football team and I am no longer able to raid with my current guild which I’ve been with for the past 2 years. I went from raiding thursdays and mondays with the main raid to the weekend raid that raids sundays only from 18:30-22:30, which translates to 9:30am to 1:30 pm here in Victoria. But now football games start 2:15 pm and i have to be at the pitch by 1:30pm on sundays. So I can only raid up to 12:30pm Victoria time which is 21:30pm server time. i have no issues with raid start as I usually wake up early everyday. I can offer you a high-end and reliable dps/tank. I’m quite active with strategies if that is something you would want. I’m very comfortable leading when the situation arises and likewise following.
  • What kind of computer, internet connection and ingame latency/framerate you have? (please provide links if possible).

  • The following questions are provided by our members and used by us as a maturity/sense of humour check. Please read them carefully and try to give your answer some thought as your answers will give us the best guide to your 'fit' with our community.

If you were an orc, what would you be and why?

  • I’d commit suicide. I don’t like orcs. I only see them as peons.
  • Whats the perfect time of day and why?

  • Raid time because thats when shit goes down.
  • Please name one thing you LIKE most about WoW and one thing you particularly DISLIKE and why.

  • Progressing with friends and laughing. Wiping with friends and laughing at fails. Please excuse any spelling mistakes. I wrote this app on my phone as I won’t be near a PC for the next 24 hours. I dislike toxicity.

Hi Kenszan and thanks for the application. What happens now is we put a link to this app in the member's section so members can discuss it and bring any questions they have to you. Normally expect an answer on a raid team application within 72 hours. Please check back from time to time in case there are any questions that need answering as this will help speed the process. Thanks. Chi
Hello again. We can remember your previous application just before BfA was released and having looked at it again I can see that the primary issue then was that you wished to be sure that you would get CE each tier and that as we were unable to guarantee this it wasn't very sensible of us to proceed with a trial. I also seem to recall you played primarily Vengeance then and we were looking for a dual spec viable player, it now appears this isn't an issue and you're happy to play both? Whilst we're not actively looking for another DH we could make room for another that plays both tank and dps and is willing to be flexible currently. Please can you confirm what has changed since your last application in respect of the CE requirement for whilst we're trying to make it more of an achievable goal each tier, it really depends a lot on the release schedule when you only raid two days per week, especially with the new loot system's inefficiency in gearing a raid team and blizzard having opted for gear checks as Mythic boss gating this time around.
Hello Scabbrox, I'm very comfortable playing either havoc or vengeance. At the moment I am only raiding as Havoc as that suits the raid group better. In Legion I mainly played as vengeance in mythic raids. Now that my schedule has changed I have limited time, CE is no longer a requirement and my priority is simply raiding mythic and clearing as much as possible.
Thanks for the clarication. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Hello again and thanks for your patience. I'm happy to say we've decided to offer you trial membership of Weekend Warriors and its progress raiding team. Please poke someone when next online and ready for an invite to the guild. Welcome aboard!
Thank you, I will be transferring realms soon.
