Why did you choose the class/spec you’re applying with and what kinds of content have you played on it so far? What experience you have playing other specs of your class?I've always wanted to play a Warrior but struggled to level one in the early days of WoW, so when I came back I tried a lot of different classes and the Fury Warrior just clicked - leaping, spinning, executing was so much fun....I loved the fast playstyle and rotation.
I have been mostly getting up to speed with BFA and levelling with the goal of eventually getting into raiding. I have played a little Arms and am looking to level up or boost a Monk, Hunter and possibly Paladin in the future.
Tell us about your history in WoW. Previous realms, guilds, best achievements, favourite mounts and anything else you want to add.I played WoW at the very beginning and stuck around till TBC when real life took over. I dipped in and out over the years but only recently have I fully got back into the game. I used to play on Ravencrest Alliance but switched to horde this time and I'm glad I did 🙂
Who are you outside WoW? Please make sure to include things like the name your friends call you, your age, where do you live, what do you do when not playing WoW, family situation and anything else you’d like to add here that would affect your ability to play with Weekend Warriors in the coming months. My name is Will, I'm 35, I live in London with my girlfriend and I work as a freelance video editor. Due to the nature of the work I'll have periods where I have time to play in the day, or sometime I might not be able to get on in the week at all. Weekends are usually free so that's why Weekend Warriors appealed to me. Also the fact that it sounds like a mature, stable and established guild who understands that people have lives outside of WoW, which is exactly what I'm looking for.
How did you hear about Weekend Warriors? What are you expecting from us? What can you offer to us?I found you in the guild finder in WoW then had a look on wowprogress and found your website. I'm expecting a fun, mature, helpful community where I can progress with the game and raiding and have some laughs along the way.
I can offer dedication, good humour, a chill attitude and a willingness to learn and improve. I put Flex Team down as that is where I would like to fit in with the view to moving into the Progress team eventually, but I realise this may be too early for that so I'd be happy to start as a Social member. I am a fast learner and am happy to take instruction and put in the time to learn the mechanics. Also I have played video games competitively in the past so I think my reflexes are still (just about) ok!
What kind of computer, internet connection and ingame latency/framerate you have? (please provide links if possible).I have a little self-built, watercooled PC - Ryzen 2700X, GTX 1070, 16GB ram. I'm running on Virgin 100meg fibre and framerate is generally 100fps+. I took this pic in Org so the fps is a bit lower but it shows the ping: https://imgur.com/SFGDzNQ
The following questions are provided by our members and used by us as a maturity/sense of humour check. Please read them carefully and try to give your answer some thought as your answers will give us the best guide to your 'fit' with our community.
If you were an orc, what would you be and why?I'd be that peon asleep under a tree without a care in the world....either that or a barber as I'm never satisfied with my in game appearance.
Whats the perfect time of day and why?Late summer afternoon, magic hour.
Please name one thing you LIKE most about WoW and one thing you particularly DISLIKE and why.Hard to name one thing - I like the escapism, as I do with all MMOs (I started playing them way back with Meridian 59 and UO), but I also just really enjoy the world and overall atmosphere and style.
One thing I dislike is the fractured nature of the story, which it sounds like they are addressing in Shadowlands. It doesn't make a lot of sense and is hard to follow when levelling.
