Ny’alotha – Mythic Hivemind Guide

THE HIVEMIND

Multi-target and AoE-centric encounter with a tight healing requirement. The damage of each Control switch increases as the fight goes on.

The fight is almost identical to Heroic, but is a substantial increase in difficulty for Healers and requires a lot more focus and DPS to down effectively without getting overwhelmed by adds.

Tek’ris’ Hivemind Control: Grants stacking damage done & haste buff to all mobs spawned. The bosses must be stacked during this phase.

Ka’zir’s Hivemind Control: Grants Regeneration buff to all mobs spawned which allows them to heal if they are below 20%. The bosses must be split during this phase.

Devouring Frenzy: This unavoidable raid-wide triggers anytime control of the Hivemind swaps between bosses. The damage increases by 20% each time it is cast.

Ka’zir

This boss needs to be focused by all melee to deal with the consistent cast that needs to be interrupted.

Mind-Numbing Nova: Periodically channels this interruptible cast. If it is not interrupted, the entire raid gains a poison debuff that reduces Haste by 100% and ticks for nature damage.

Spawn Acidic Aqir: Spawns eggs around the room in different locations from which Acidic Aqir will spawn and roll across the encounter floor, hitting anyone in their path for huge damage and leaving a nasty dot on them. Avoid at all costs.

Volatile Eruption: Picks an Aqir Drone add turns it into a Volatile Drone. The add will explode for massive raid-wide damage if it is allowed to finish its cast. Stack on it and burn it down ASAP. Only casted while Ka’zir has Hivemind Control.

Tek’ris

Ranged focused boss. Spawns a frontal cone shockwave infront of it that needs to be sidestepped.

Echoing Void: Generates a void circle around everyone in the raid that will explode after a few seconds. On Mythic, after the first explosion a second Entropic Echo will spawn at your feet.

Entropic Echo: Spawns a void swirly underneath you after the Echoing Void debuff drops off. This swirly will explode after a few seconds and place a 100% healing immunity on you if you stand in it.

Accelerated Evolution: Picks a random Aqir Drone add and transforms them into a much stronger Aqir Ravager that must be nuked down immediately as it will tear into the tanks. Only casted while Tek’ris has Hivemind Control.

Aqir Adds

These adds spawn throughout the encounter on a set timer, starting with the Aqir Drones and shortly after the Aqir Darters. It is important to clear any and all adds that are alive before moving back to DPSing the bosses.

Remain stacked any time there are adds alive (unless Echoing Void is happening) to allow them to group up better.

Aqir Drone: Small add that spawns in a very large pack and attack random players. If you are fixated, stack up behind the boss to allow them to cleaved down immediately. Upon death, these adds will drop a poison patch on the ground.

Aqir Darter: Swoop in from above to different locations and begin free-casting raid-wide AOE. Cannot be tanked, and anytime they complete their cast they will fly to another location. Grips and stuns are vital CC for these adds, and they must be eliminated quickly.
