      UU’NAT, HARBINGER OF THE VOID

Not just hard to pronounce, but also hard on the soles of raiders’ feet. This boss is high in mobility and reaction times to be able to avoid nasty void zones, beams, grounds effects that will otherwise heal the boss if executed poorly.

Utilize the power of the Relics you have stolen from the defeated Restless Cabal to stop Uu’nat and thwart N’Zoth’s vile schemes (or will you…?).

A kitchen sink of mechanics and abilities, Uu’nat will prove challenging and lengthy to study and learn, let alone master in the game itself.

      • Targets: Uu’nat, Undying Guardian, Primordial Mindbender.
      • Touch of the End: Frontal cone tank swap ability. Applies a ticking shadow damage dot onto the active tank and will cause any Undying Guardian adds to fixate on the tank with the debuff. Swap anytime an add spawns.
      • Oblivion Tear: A purple swirly on the ground that leaves a void zone on the floor. Coming into contact with this zone at any time will heal the boss for 1% of his health. Avoid these zones and swirlies at all costs and only soak them during Embrace of the Void from the Void Stone relic.
      • Undying Guardian: Must be tanked by the tank with the Touch of the End debuff and away from the boss or they will grant eachother an immunity to all damage. At 1 HP, the add will cast Unnatural Regeneration.
        • Unnatural Regeneration: Upon hitting 1 HP, the Guardian does not die but begins regenerating back to full health in a ramping fashion. It is important to lower the add’s HP to 20% to reduce their damage to the tank, but they must never reach 1 HP and can only be killed by the Tempest Caller relic.

      • Relics of Power: The 3 Relics from the previous boss encounter are now under our possession to be used against Uu’nat and his minions. Each Relic can be picked up by 1 player at a time, by a specific role for each. The Relics have a positive effect, but also a negative effect upon use.
        • [TANKS] – Trident of the Deep Ocean
          • POSITIVE EFFECT: Spawns a protective barrier around the tank’s location that redirects 75% of all raid members within the barrier’s damage to the absorption shield.
          • NEGATIVE EFFECT: Any absorption left in shield once the barrier expires will explode for raid-wide damage on all players. Use it when absolutely necessary and when there is enough damage to soak the whole barrier.
        • [HEALERS] – Void Stone
          • POSITIVE EFFECT: Applies Embrace of the Void on all enemies, making them immune to all healing and allowing the Relic Healer to nullify mechanics that will otherwise heal the boss normally.
          • NEGATIVE EFFECT: Applies Embrace of the Void on all players aswell, making them immune to all healing so long as the Relic Healer’s absorption shield is up. (Umbral Shell). The Relic Healer must take damage to break their own shield when it is time to remove the healing immunity.
        • [DPS] – Tempest Caller
          • POSITIVE EFFECT: Triggers Storm of Annihilation which pulses raid-wide AoE to all of the boss’ adds, instantly kills any add below 25% health, does not trigger their death effect if killed this way and reduces their damage done by 50%. This ability is the only way to kill the Undying Guardian adds.
          • NEGATIVE EFFECT: Triggers Storm of Annihilation which pulses raid-wide AoE damage on the entire raid, and instantly kills any player below 25% health and reduces damage done by all players by 50%. Make sure the entire raid is full health and healers are prepared for the incoming damage.

      Phase 1 (100%-70%)

Each of Uu’nat’s phases is characterized by a change in his special ability, Gift of N’Zoth, in addition to all the other encounter-wide mechanics listed above. Phases change based on Uu’nat’s health percentage.

      • Gift of N’Zoth: Obscurity: Cast at 100 energy, the boss will spawn a massive void circle around the encounter room that deals damage to anyone standing. Each subsequent cast of this will make the circle bigger and bigger, constricting the encounter space.
      • Eyes of N’Zoth: The boss calls upon Maddening Eyes of N’Zoth and the Piercing Gaze of N’Zoth, which each apply a different ground effect to avoid throughout the phase.
      • Piercing Gaze of N’Zoth: Two beams will slowly cross the entire boss room and slowly collapse in to focus on a single point. You cannot avoid getting hit by both beams without a blink ability, so you must force yourself to get hit by 1, receive the dot and wait for the 2nd to hit you only once your DoT has faded. Stay alive and be smart with positioning – double beam will kill you.
      • Maddening Eyes of N’Zoth: A straight line of void energy that needs to be avoided. Any player hit becomes hostile to all allies for 8 seconds. Avoid it or your raid will kill you if it doesn’t.

      Phase 2 (70%-45%)

This phase starts at 70% and will see the largest influx of adds in the encounter, but the room will no longer be constricted by his Obscurity special. Instead, Gift of N’Zoth changes to have another effect.

      • Gift of N’Zoth: Hysteria: Cast at 100, the boss will deal raid-wide damage to all players, buff all adds for 50% Haste and heal them for 50% HP. It is important to use either the Tempest Caller Relic to finish the adds off before 100 energy, or to use the Void Stone Relic to negate the adds from healing if you cannot kill them fast enough.
      • Primordial Mindbender: Spawns 2 of these adds which will sit and cast Consume Essence. Upon death, they will spawn 3 Swarming Voidspawn at their location.Consume Essence: Long interruptible cast that will deal raid-wide damage and heal the add to full. Interrupt ASAP and kill this add quickly.
        • Swarming Voidspawn: These adds do nothing, but upon death they will explode for raid-wide damage. It is important to stagger killing these to avoid high raid damage. You can avoid spawning these adds completely if the Mindbender is killed by the Tempest Caller’s ability.
      • Unknowable Terror: Spawns a large purple circle in an 80 yard radius that will deal large shadow damage and fear any player caught in it for 6 seconds. Run.

      Phase 3 (45%-0%)

The final phase of the encounter does not feature the new adds, and will have another version of Gift of N’Zoth to deal with along with a new debuff on a random player which requires some self-sacrifice for the greater good.

      • Gift of N’Zoth: Lunacy: Deals raid-wide damage and makes the entire raid hostile to eachother for 4 seconds. Do not use any cleave, DoT or AoE abilities during this period and avoid killing your friends.
      • Insatiable Torment: A random player will receive this ticking DoT which also makes them immune to all healing. The only way to keep this poor soul alive is to have raiders rotate moving closest to the afflicted target so the Tormented player can feed on their flesh to heal themselves. If this sacrifice is not made, the player will die a slow death.

        HEROIC DIFFICULTY

        Phase 1

        • New Ability – Void Crash: Works exactly the same as the Void Crash from Restless Cabal. Avoid the initial big swirly and soak the minor ones to stop them constantly bouncing.

        Phase 2

        • Gift of N’Zoth: Hysteria now heals adds up to 75% health, up from 50% on Normal.
        • Uu’nat now spawns 3 Primordial Mindbenders, up from 2 on Normal.

        Phase 3

        • Piercing Gaze of N’Zoth now occurs in this phase aswell as Phase 1.
