      THE RESTLESS CABAL

      A two boss council fight with separate health pools. Bursts of damage and correct boss positioning are needed to overcome the special abilities the bosses will trigger at certain health thresholds, augmented by the presence of 3 Relics of Power in the boss room.

      There are no specific phases, but at 75%, 50% and 25% each individual boss will bring about their special ability along with unleashing the power of the chosen Relic.

      • Targets: Zaxasj the Speaker (Caster Boss), Fa’thuul the Feared (Melee Boss), Visage from Beyond (Caster Add), Eldritch Abomination (Melee Add)
      • Pact of the Restless: The bosses have separate health pools, but if one of the bosses is lowered to 1 HP, it will begin channeling a 20% heal on itself if the opposite boss is not lowered to 1 HP within this timer. Bosses must die within 20 seconds of each other or it’s a wipe.

       

      Relics of Power

      Each boss upon hitting 75%, 50% or 25% health individually will sap the power of the nearest Relic of Power to unleash its special ability. It is important the bosses do not reach these health thresholds at the same time or you will likely wipe due to the doubling of the relic effects.

      You cannot activate the same relic twice or the boss will gain a 300% damage buff and enrage. In addition to the Relic’s special ability, each boss will cast their own ability which is the same each time they are empowered:

      • Fa’thuul the Feared – Eldritch Revelation: The boss summons 3 Eldritch Abomination adds that are immune to damage and begin channeling Witness the End. The only way to remove these adds from the encounter is to allow them to finish their channel, upon which they kill themselves.
        • Witness the End: Interruptible long cast spell which deals raid-wide damage. It is important to interrupt the casts to stagger each explosion, rather than have all 3 go off at once.
      • Zaxasj the Speaker – Visage from BeyondThe boss summons 1 Visage from Beyond add, a copy of himself which will begin channeling Terrifying Echo. The add must be engaged and killed ASAP as this channel is uninterruptible and the add will progressively heal itself for more and more health the longer it is alive.
        • Terrifying Echo: Raid-wide damage and fear on all raid members if cast. Can only be interrupted by bringing the add to 1 HP.

      • Void Stone: Applies a large damage absorption shield (Umbral Shell) on the activating boss, and afflicts the entire raid with Embrace of the Void, which can only be removed by breaking the shield on the boss itself.
        • Embrace of the Void: Raid-wide debuff aura which reduces all healing received by 100% so long as the Umbral Shell shield is active.
      • Trident of the Deep Ocean: Spawns a massive barrier around the relic’s location, redirecting 75% of all damage taken by the boss and its adds to the barrier’s absorption shield. Once the barrier expires, it will cause Abyssal Collapse.
        • Abyssal Collapse: Upon expiring, the barrier will explode and deal damage to the entire raid equal to the amount of absorption left on the barrier itself. It is important to deal as much damage as possible in this phase to consume the shield and reduce damage on the raid. Bringing adds into the barrier is also effective.
      • Tempest Caller: Activates pulsing raid-wide explosions and reduces all damage done by players by 50% for 15secs. Any player below 25% health during this ability will be instantly killed. It is important to never fall below 25% hp in this phase and do not worry about damage as it is mostly nullified by your debuff.

       

      Zaxasj the Speaker

      A unique caster boss which can only be tanked by a ranged damage dealer class that can withstand consistent shadow damage. The ranged tank must out-range the boss’ main cast to position him close to the desired Relic of Power.

      • Aphotic Blast: Main casting ability (he does not melee). The player struck by this ability will have their Threat generation increased by 150% for 30 seconds. The damage of the blast is reduced the further you are away from the boss. The ranged tank assigned to this duty will need to stand as far away from Zaxasj as possible without moving him, and 5yards away from any other player as the blast has a small AoE effect around its target. It is important to never overaggro the ranged tank.
      • Cerebral Assault: Frontal medium Shadow damage cone. If a player is hit by this ability, they will become hostile to all other players for 4 seconds, and be unhealable and subject to AoE, DoT and cleave effects from their allies.
      • Dark Herald: Marks a player with this debuff and a small purple circle. Stepping within the circle’s radius will grant a stacking Promises of Power debuff to the player.
        • Promises of Power: Stacking debuff that grants 10% damage increase, but reduces max health by 10% over time. This debuff must be dispelled at around 6 stacks. 

       

       

       

      Fa’thuul the Feared

      A traditional melee brute boss which must be tank swapped and has a host of his own abilities that raid must deal with and adjust their positioning for.

      • Shear Mind: Tank swap ability which reduces all stats by 10% per stack for 20 seconds. Swap at 3-4 stacks.
      • Void Crash: Large purple swirly which must avoid and upon impact will split into 2 minor swirlies and impact in different locations. 1 player must soak aminor swirly or the Void Crash will continue to occur until soaked. Do NOT soak the initial big swirly and wait for a period of low raid damage to soak. 
      • Crushing Doubt: Marks a player with a minor slow and a ramping dot for 12 seconds. Upon expiration, the debuff will explode for raid-wide damage which is reduced the farther the player is from the raid. Run out with this as fast as you can and use a defensive.

        HEROIC DIFFICULTY

        Zaxasj the Speaker

        • Apothic Blast now applies Agent of Demise on its target if Zaxasj switches targets.
          • Agent of Demise: The player becomes hostile to all allies permanently and takes 75% reduced healing for the remainder of the encounter. They are basically dead if this happens, so don’t overaggro ever.
        • Dispelling Promises of Power now causes Wrack, which deals moderate shadow damage to the dispeller upon removing the debuff from a player.

         

        Fa’thuul the Feared

        • Witness the End from the Eldritch Abomination now increases the damage of subsequent Witness the End casts within 6 seconds by 100%. It is even more important now to stagger each explosion 6-7 seconds apart.
