Battle of Dazar’alor – High Tinker Mekkatorque Guide

      HIGH TINKER MEKKATORQUE

      Pure single-target fight with a great deal of mobility, awareness and vocal communication and coordination necessary to complete the encounter.

      • Targets: High Tinker Mekkatorque, Spark Bot
      • Played Faction: Horde

       

      The fight consists of only 2 Phases and an Intermission phase, which are very similar between eachother with the final phase adding a few abilities and effects to make the fight more hectic.

       

      Phase 1

      Focus damage into Mekkatorque alone and avoid his Spark Bots, which will need to be perma rooted by Druids. Mobility and awareness is needed to deal with his Gigavolt Charge and Buster Cannon abilities.

      • Buster Cannon: Mekkatorque will face a random player and charge up a cannon blast, launching a slow moving energy ball in the direction he is facing. Getting hit will deal massive damage, knock you back and leave a DoT which will reduce your Haste by 100%. Avoid at ALL COSTS.
      • Electroshock Amplification: Stacking buff on Mekkatorque on each melee attack which causes them to deal more damage. Taunt swap at around 8-10 stacks or if the main tank gets Shrunk or Gigavolt Charge.
      • Gigavolt Charge: Applies a 15second debuff onto 2 random players (including tanks). After 15seconds, you will explode and deal raid-wide damage to anyone in your line of sight and leave a 30second DoT onto anyone hit. It is imperative you run this ability out to the collapsed walls and hide from the raid. 
      • World Enlarger: Will shrink 3 random players in the raid (including tanks). If you are stepped on by any non-shrunk player, you will take massive damage and be stunned. While you are shrunk, you can interact and mount Spark Bots.
      • Spark Bot: Robots will drop down from the sky onto random players periodically. They cannot take any damage and periodically pulse AoE zones around them. The only way to kill the bot is by having a shrunk player punch in the bot’s shutdown code displayed ontop of the bot.
        • Shutdown Code: There are 5 possible colour codes that will appear on the top of the Spark Bot. The player inside the bot must input the right colour 3 times to disable it, and punch in a final time any colour to destroy the bot. Someone will announce the correct codes to you by voice comms in order.
      • Heavy Thrusters: Mekkatorque will periodically charge his thrusters, dealing damage to anyone around him and fly up and crash down onto a chosen impact point. Melee must run out from the boss, and all must avoid the impact zone.

       

      Intermission

      At 40% health, Mekkatorque will shield himself from all damage and fly up into the air and soar across the encounter room. He continues several of his abilities, but others are inactive during this timed intermission.

      • Spark Bots will continue to spawn periodically throughout this intermission.
      • World Enlarger will no longer only affect 3 people, but a large part of the raid will be shrunk, making movement difficult for larger players who must be careful not to crush shrunk ones.
      • Gigavolt Charge will continue to be cast and will still affect 3 players. Prefers players who are not shrunk.
      • Signal Exploding Sheep: Several sheep will fall down onto the ground and cover most of the floor. After a while, they will explode and send shrapnel waves flying outwards. Avoid falling sheep and avoid the shrapnel waves caused by the explosion.

       

      Phase 3

      After 1:05 minutes in the intermission phase, Mekkatorque will land with a large impact zone and begin Phase 3. Phase 3 is almost identical to Phase 1, except for the Exploding Sheep from the Intermission will persist throughout the rest of the encounter.

      • Hyperdrive: Gains 30% increased attack speed and periodically hits random players with a tick of Nature damage. Tanks will take damage faster, and his stacks will ramp faster requiring quicker swaps.

       

      Continue to disable Spark Bots, run out with Gigavolt and avoid Buster Cannon & Exploding Sheep and you will be guaranteed to punt this gnome straight out of his oversized mech.

        HEROIC DIFFICULTY

        • Gigavolt Charge now affects 3 people (including tanks), up from 2 on Normal difficulty.
        • Spark Bots will now gain the Wind Up buff the longer they are alive.
          • Wind Up: Stacking buff that grants increased move speed and 20% Haste per stack. Upon reaching 5 stacks, the bot will reduce the duration of any CC applied to it.
        • New Ability – Wormhole Generator: Mekkatorque will teleport the entire raid together to a random location in the encounter area. This teleport will often overlap with Heavy Thrusters or World Enlarger – which means you will have either avoid the impact zone or avoid shrunken players after being teleported.

         

        MYTHIC DIFFICULTY

        • Gigavolt Charge now spawns a permanent radiation zone at the location of its explosion. It is important to avoid these zones as they apply the same DoT as being hit by the Charge itself. You must find new spots to drop the Gigavolt Charge each time, or neatly stack the zones. 
        • New Buff – Spark Shield: Spark Bots are now buffed with Spark Shield, which allows them to reflect a large burst of damage to anyone that attacks them. Avoid doing any damage on any kind to the bots.
        • New Effect – Wormhole Generator: Players teleported by the Generator will now be affected by one of two possible debuffs: Discombobulation or Miscalculated Teleport.
          • Discombobulation: The player will be polymorphed for 12 seconds. This effect can be dispelled. Priests can easily counter this with a Mass Dispell, but healers must prioritize removing the polymorph on everyone.
          • Miscalculated Teleport: The player will be launched high above into the air after being teleported. You must mitigate the falling damage any way you can, or call for something that will help you survive it.
        • New Effect – World Enlarger: Mekkatorque will affect one additional player with each World Enlarger cast with the Enormous debuff.
          • Enormous: The player becomes massive, towering over any other player. The Enormous player will deal 10% increased damage, but can now Trample on normal sized player and shrunk players. Trampling normal sized players  will deal large damage and stun them, trampling shrunk players will instantly kill them. The Enormous player must stand completely still and tunnel damage into the boss.
