Battle of Dazar’alor – Jadefire Masters Guide

      JADEFIRE MASTERS

      A two-boss encounter with set abilities that occur through the fight and are empowered according to the energy the bosses reach. Each energy threshold determines a new phase, and a new variance to the encounter.

      • Targets: Manceroy Flamefist (Mage), Mestrah the Illuminated (Monk) and Living Bomb.
      • Played Faction: Horde.

       

      Mestrah, the Illuminated

      • Harmonious Spirits: Passive aura that grants increased power if Manceroy is lower health than her.
      • Whirling Jade Storm: Rolls away from the current tank in a random direction, channeling a spinning kick that deals raid-wide damage until it is cancelled. The active tank, or a mobile melee, must engage the Monk in melee combat to interrupt this channel.
      • Multi-Sided Strike: The active tank is knocked into the air and locked into a duel with the Monk’s spiritual aspects. The tank must face upcoming monk spirits before they strike to block them and win the duel. Failing to block a spirit will deal high Physical damage. Once the duel has ended, the participating tank will take 100% increased physical damage for 40 seconds.

       

      Manceroy Flamefist

      • Fireball: Moderate Fire damage, applies a stacking dot to the active tank called Rising Flames.
      • Rising Flames: Upon expiring, the debuff will cause a raid-wide explosion with its damage increasing according to the number of Rising Flames stacks were consumed.
      • Pyroblast: Manceroy protects himself with a Fire Shield absorption shield before beginning to cast this long-cast spell. The shield must be broken to be able to interrupt this lethal spell.
      • Searing Embers: Ticking dot applied on a random player that must be dispelled before it expires within 10 seconds, or it triggers a raid-wide explosion.

       

      Fire from Mist (30 Energy)

      • The bosses remain active, but Manceroy will spawn 3 Living Bombs in random locations of the room. Mestrah will cloak these Living Bombs in vision-clouding mist.
      • Living Bomb: Shrouded by Chi-Ji’s Song, the bomb will periodically detonate and deal damage to the entire raid. A cutter beam rotates around the bomb itself and must be avoided whilst damaging it.
      • Chi-Ji’s Song: Mist covers the Living Bombs, shrouding them from vision and making everyone unable to attack the Living Bombs unless they are inside its given mist area. The mist deals very minor ticking Nature damage while inside it.

       

      Strategy:

      • The entire raid stacks up inside the Mist of the nearest Living Bomb. Bloodlust is used and all DPS must burn the Living Bomb and avoid its slow-moving cutter beam around it.
      • Upon killing a Living Bomb, all the raid must move together to the next and repeat until all Living Bombs are dead.
      • The bosses will remain active in this phase, but they must not be DPSed.

       

      A Flash of Hostility (60 Energy)

      • The bosses teleport together to the opposite side of the room, far away from the raid.
        Mestrah will spawn hostile Rings of Peace all over the encounter floor in a maze-like pattern.
        Manceroy will protect himself and Mestrah behind an Ice Wall and begin casting Phoenix Strike on the raid.
      • Phoenix Strike: A Phoenix periodically crashes into a random area, blanketing it with fire in a 6 yard radius.

       

      Strategy:

      • The entire raid must make it’s way across the encounter room floor towards the bosses, avoiding fire and the rings as quickly as possible.
      • Upon reaching the bosses, DPS must concentrate all damage on the same section of the Ice Wall to break it and reach the bosses to interrupt them.
      • The maze and the phase ends once the raid reaches and interrupts Mestrah and Manceroy.

       

      The Serpent and the Phoenix (100 Energy)

      • Mestrah transforms into a Jade Serpent for the rest of the encounter, empowering her existing abilities and gaining a new one.
        Dragon’s Breath: Faces a random player and begins breathing Jade Fire in a cone for 2 seconds.
      • Manceroy transforms into a Phoenix for the rest of the encounter, empowering his existing abilities.
        No longer casts Fireball, instead applies Searing Peck onto the active tank – same effect but instant.

        HEROIC CHANGES

        Mestrah

        • Multi-Sided Strike now strikes 4 times, up from 3 on Normal.
        • Mestrah spawns 1 Spirit of Xuen add that pounces on a random player, stay spread 5 yards apart for the AoE Pounce. They MUST BE FOCUSED AND KILLED.

         

        Manceroy

        • New Ability – Magma Trap: A large fire zone that persists throughout the entire fight. Triggering the trap will die high amount of Fire damage and knock the player high in the sky.
          These traps must be soaked by immunity and slow-fall wielding classes. The fall will guaranteed kill you without any falling mitigation. You cannot soak more than 1 every 10 minutes as you gain 100% increased damage from Trap stack from soaking.

         

        A Flash of Hostility (60 Energy)

        • Only 1 side of the Barrier is vulnerable to damage on Heroic and above.
        • Force Orb: Players may pick up this green orb and carry it to the end of the maze and apply it to the Barrier to allow a different point to become attackable aswell. All points share health, and increasing the amount of points to be attacked allows cleave/AOE and to break it faster.

         

        The Serpent and the Phoenix (100 Energy)

        • Dragon’s Breath now leaves a trail of Jade fire in its affected area.
        • Multi-Sided Strike from Mestrah in this phase will affect the entire raid, forcing you into the tank mini-game of blocking the Monk’s spiritual aspects.

         

         

        MYTHIC CHANGES

        Mestrah

        • Multi-Sided Strike now strikes 5 times on Mythic, up from 4 on Heroic.
        • All players except for the Mage Tank and 1 random Healer must participate in the Multi-Sided Strike duel from the start of the encounter.
        • Mestrah now spawns 2 Spirit of Xuen adds, up from 1 on Heroic.

         

        Manceroy

        • Pyroblast will now instantly kill its target if not interrupted.

         

        A Flash of Hostility (60 Energy)

        • The Barrier is not attackable. A Force Orb must be collected to allow a point to be attacked. It is highly recommended to carry as many orbs as possible to the Barrier to nuke it down as quickly as possible.
        • A Spirit of Niuzao will pursue players throughout the maze, trying to trample them in their path, dealing high amounts of Physical damage. Avoid it and kill the Barrier before it reaches the raid.

            Bumping this thread and added the Mythic strategy we will employ when we reach this boss.

            Read up and prepare for today incase Grong goes down.
