      Eonar the Life-Binder

      Heroic

Eonar is WoW’s version of “tower defense” genre. There’s bunch of different types of adds walking towards boss in the middle, and raid needs to whack them all down before they reach her. Eonar has energy bar which fills when enemies are killed and once it reaches full all enemies will take damage. Bar must be filled four times before the demons kill the boss which can not be healed. Raid needs to be split into two equal groups to handle simultaneous portals. Next portal spawn will show up on your minimap.

Map of the encounter area is large and in many levels, and there are some movement speed buffs available.

      677844.jpg

PTR has fixed spawn order of : middle > lower > middle > upper > lower > middle > upper > lower > middle

If there are no adds next portal will spawn immediately ahead of time, and at later stages of the fight two portals may be active at the same time and raid needs to be split into two groups ahead of time to handle both.

For movement there are two shortcuts : extra action button and fixed jump points on the map. Extra action button has 30 second cooldown and will kick you high into air and let you glide for a short time. Clicking the button again will stop the glide and drop you down immediately if you need to get there faster. Jump pads will move you between two nearby fixed points on the map between the paths.

Paraxis is the ship we’ve seen on Argus. It rains all kinds of green shit from the sky. Small hits on large number of random people that just needs to be healed and few large green circles that need to move out of raid before those explode for lot of damage. In addition Heroic Mode has a green beam called Spear of Doom that follows one random target and leaves green shit on the ground which gives enemies a movement speed buff while in it. Best way to handle it is kite the beam around the edges of the path where mobs probably wont go leaving rest of the raid more room to operate.

      Demons

volant_1511620396.jpg Volant Kerapteron is simple trash but it flies in a straight line and is something melee can’t reach and ranged DPS needs to handle.
destr_1511620538.jpg Fel-Infused Destructor is a boss-sized mob that walks short way from the spot where it spawns and before it stops it does not have any aggro table. Melee should not hit it until tank has threat on this mob or they will get one-shot. Interrupt Artillery Strike. This is low priority target.
obfusc_1511620771.jpg Fel-Charged Obfuscator makes nearby demons invisible. Can not be tanked, nuke as first priority. While the demons are invisible they can’t be targeted directly but AOE damage and CC still works.
purif_1511620840.jpg Fel-Powered Purifier removes CC from the other demons. It needs to be tanked away from the group and don’t get raid hit by frontal cleave. This mob does not exist in normal or LFR difficulties. Last priority target.
a5trash_1511620072.jpg Felguards, Fel Lords and Felhounds are just low health untankable trash that keeps on walking on their merry path towards the boss. CC (almost everything works) and cleave down. Felhounds are fast, low hp and many spawn. Felguard are medium speed & hp, spawn a few. Fel Lords have high hp and are very slow.

        Mythic changes

Mythic has an extra room for a small group on board Paraxis.

Final Doom is used on a timer (no idea how often) which spawns four single-use crystals that will spawn around the Essence of Eonar so that four players can enter the extra location aboard the Paraxis.

Paraxis Inquisitor is a shadowpriesty miniboss with a few abilities:

        • Mind Blast is interruptible single target damage
        • Pain is dispellable dot
        • Wrack is interruptible AOE channel
        • Torment is interruptible AOE channel

Ideal group is 3 good ST dps and 1 healer, with as many interrupts as possible. Final Doom will happen many times (no idea how many) and each time needs different group to handle it.

After miniboss is dead there are four crystals of different color that need to be clicked and those give different kinds of permanent debuffs. You can probably get multiple debuffs but certain combinations (like yellow with green) will be fatal.

        • Feedback – Arcane Singularity (blue) interrupts all spellcasting within 10 yards every 25 seconds.
        • Feedback – Targeted (green) will be targeted by all Paraxis abilities for the rest of the fight and needs dedicated healer.
        • Feedback – Burning Embers (red) does AOE damage to everybody within 8 yards every 30 seconds and throw up in the air everybody hit with the explosion. Players who can mitigate frequent falling damage are best for this.
        • Feedback – Foul Steps (yellow) gives stacking dot every time you move. Standing still for a while lowers the stacks.

Once all crystals are clicked which interrupt Final Doom cast, players need to use their extra action buttons and jump off the balcony and land with the extra action button.

          Weakaura:

          https://wago.io/rkyLUGtbM

The Weakaura give the actual Split focus + The next location we should have to be. If it says for example, ” Gr1: Mid-purifier + Paraxis, it means Group 1 (Group 1 + Group 2) are on the middle platform except the mini-group of 4 people doing Paraxis (1 heal + 3 dd kick)

Before starting the fight we need to:

          • Doing 2 Groups (Group 1 = Group 1 + Group 2 & Group 2 = Group 3 + Group 4) for the Weakaura
          • Put 1 tank + 2 heal on each Group 1 + 2
          • All control talent have to be take for slowing adds (stun, grip zone, roots, …)
          • On Angry we have to create 4 mini groups (1mn / 3mn / 4mn40 / 6mn15) for the Paraxis (1 heal + 3 dd each time)
          • Assign which color they take befoire going back (ex: Heal take Yellow Crystal)
          • Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKVAIAqB2nE

          Epu’s Tips:

          • Low add or middle add can be down at 40%/ 50% before Eonar’s Life so she will finish them (4 times cast in the fight)
          • For Each big add we need 3 kickers at least 1 tank + 2 people
          • If Medium add (Cleave’s one) are not dead before Destructor (Big add) is there, he will put a shield on the big’s add so it will become uninterruptible.
          • At the end of the fight, roughly 8mn40s + we need to focus the add ‘s Weakaura AND still interrupt big adds.
          • Bloodlust after 4th group come back.
          • If each group arrive on their location, they can slow the front add, in order that all adds behind arrive pack in the same front area, then Aoe them
          • Medium’s add 1:  The Obscurator have to be focus, and just slow add on the back stun + slow in order the Obcusator keep walking. We can focus it and Aoe the back ‘s add same time
          • Medium’s add 2: The Cleaver add have to be split from the small add but be aware melee that its Cleave is a 180 degree’s one depending which arm the add’s showing up.

Thanks Epu.  Does everyone need the WA or just the Raid Leader?

We won’t be doing Eonar until after AHC, but we are preparing for it for Sunday, assuming AHC goes down effectively.
