Elemental Shaman (Progress Team) – Accepted

What sort of membership are you applying for?

  • Progress
  • What characters are you applying with? Please link from armory, wowprogress or some other site, in order of importance to you. Include also your main character if you are applying with an alt.

  • Main - Scryd (Ele Sham)

  • Main Character Link

  • Why did you choose the class/spec you’re applying with and what kinds of content have you played on it so far? What experience you have playing other specs of your class?

  • I chose my ele shaman because I enjoy it and have mained it all the way through Legion. At the start of BFA, I tried and stuck with mage all the way through Uldir, but eventually got bored and really wanted to play my shaman again. Currently 7/9M BoD, progging on Blockade. I also play resto but only for fun in M+ and HC raids, but have healed mythic raids before back in Legion and open to healing next tier if gear allows it.
  • Tell us about your history in WoW. Previous realms, guilds, best achievements, favourite mounts and anything else you want to add.

  • Started playing WoW at the start of Legion on Quel'thalas. Found a guild and raided Mythic on main roster with them through all the raids. At the start of BFA the guild sadly disbanded when we were 3/9M Uldir. Quel Horde side was a dead so I decided to transfer to Draenor. Since the transfer I've been to a few guilds, some I left, some have decided to stop raiding. Currently looking for a guild that raids in hours more suitable with my IRL job.
  • Who are you outside WoW? Please make sure to include things like the name your friends call you, your age, where do you live, what do you do when not playing WoW, family situation and anything else you’d like to add here that would affect your ability to play with Weekend Warriors in the coming months.

  • My names Dave, I'm 28. I live in the UK and have for the past 15 years. I'm a huge introvert and spend most my time in front of my PC. I don't do anything on the weekends, hence why I'm applying.
  • How did you hear about Weekend Warriors? What are you expecting from us? What can you offer to us?

  • I found the guild on the Blizzard WoW forum. What I hope to find in this guild is a somewhat serious approach to progression raiding. I'm all in for fun and memes, but when they consistently ruin pulls it gets annoying. I can offer my knowledge and skill. I'm a decent player who's honest and open to constructive criticism, always do my research on bosses prior to progress and come well prepared with consumables.
  • What kind of computer, internet connection and ingame latency/framerate you have? (please provide links if possible).

  • I5 2500k 4.2ghz, Asus Strix Gtx 970, 16gb ram, Samsung SSD, which allows 60 frames in raids. Fibre optic internet, 20-25ms latency ingame.
  • The following questions are provided by our members and used by us as a maturity/sense of humour check. Please read them carefully and try to give your answer some thought as your answers will give us the best guide to your 'fit' with our community.

If you were an orc, what would you be and why?

  • Yes
  • Whats the perfect time of day and why?

  • The evening cos I like the dark.
  • Please name one thing you LIKE most about WoW and one thing you particularly DISLIKE and why.

  • I like prog raiding - really enjoy the challenge and it feels good to finally kill a boss after hundreds of pulls. I dislike PvP- cos I'm bad ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hello Dave and thanks for the application. What happens now is we put a link to this app in the member's section so members can discuss it and bring any questions they have to you. Normally expect an answer on a raid team application within 72 hours. Please check back from time to time in case there are any questions that need answering as this will help speed the process. Thanks. Athiyk

Hi Dave Just a questions or two. Will you be continuing to raid with your mage and so WW will be a second guild for you? We have received a second application of the same class that says he is a friend of yours. Is your application to be considered a both in or both out type scenario? Please let us know.

Sorry about the above question (second bit). Seems it's a case of mistaken identity and the buy was referring to a mage also under consideration. Please confirm if you're still interested in raiding with us and whether this will be a case of a second raid team for you or a change of focus from weekday to weekend.

No worries. I only have time to raid with 1 guild and if I join WW, you will be my main and only guild. I don't have time to raid during the week, so I want to raid during the weekend.

In that case... Hello Dave and thanks for your patience. I'm happy to say we've decided to offer you trial membership of Weekend Warriors and its progress raiding team. Please poke someone when next online and ready for an invite to the guild. Welcome aboard!
