Beefelo – BrM/Mst, Monk, Social Application (Joint application with Sheltie) – Accepted

What sort of membership are you applying for?

  • Social
  • What characters are you applying with? Please link from armory, wowprogress or some other site, in order of importance to you. Include also your main character if you are applying with an alt.

  • Beefelo - Recently created new main for BfA, having had a play with a lot of the classes on the beta, I wasn't happy with how either of my old mains felt. But strangely fell in love with a class I had never really touched before.

  • First Alt Character Link

  • Second Alt Character Link

  • Why did you choose the class/spec you’re applying with and what kinds of content have you played on it so far? What experience you have playing other specs of your class?

  • As stated before, I'm VERY new to the monk class. But the brewmaster just clicked with me, mainly in terms of mobility. That and "Dave the black ox" is such a great way to cheese certain mechanics.
  • Tell us about your history in WoW. Previous realms, guilds, best achievements, favourite mounts and anything else you want to add.

  • For about the past 5+ years, I've been firmly rooted within Draenor. It's my home server, and I can't really see myself moving to any of the other ones. I like being on a nicely populated horde PvE (for what that's worth anymore) server. Before that, I was on Ravenholdt from about TBC to Cata. I was always focused on PvE content, but my friends wanted to be on a RP-PvP server for some reason. They stopped playing at some point, and me and the other half ditched that server as quickly as we could! There was also a weird time where I played a space goat, but I'd rather not talk about that. We've been through a good amount of guilds over the past decade or so. And at one point during wrath, we even ran our own heroic progress guild. It was probably the best experience we've ever had in this game, and managing to down Heroic LK before the nerfs came in was probably the best achievement we ever had. As for favourite mount, well, I don't think I've used anything other than the sandstone drake since I got it. Usually so one of us can go grab a drink of water while the other gets to the next questing hub.
  • Who are you outside WoW? Please make sure to include things like the name your friends call you, your age, where do you live, what do you do when not playing WoW, family situation and anything else you’d like to add here that would affect your ability to play with Weekend Warriors in the coming months.

  • Hey, I'm Matt, a 34 year old IT consultant in the NHS. I live with Robyn in the UK midlands, but our hearts are firmly rooted in Aberdeen where we're hoping to return back to one day. When not playing WoW, we both like to go distance running (I'm fairly new to it, with my eyes on my first half-marathon in the near future) and spend time with our two fluffy four legged monsters. Please be aware, if we are successful in joining your guild, you're likely to receive pictures of them from Robyn in discord!
  • How did you hear about Weekend Warriors? What are you expecting from us? What can you offer to us?

  • Like I said before, Draenor has been our home for a good few years now, and we kept seeing your guild name pop up. As life has become a bit more frantic, the thought of joining a weekend guild was really appealing. But the raid times clashed with some of the stuff we were doing at the time. As raiding is now off the menu for us, we'd like to settle down in a mythic level guild as socials because, if I can be slightly blunt about it, I have adored this game over the past decade and really enjoy talking to others who take the game fairly seriously as well. Although most of my end-game content from now will be hard capped at the M+ level, I'm still going to min-max my characters to the best of my abilities as that's just what I enjoy from this game. What we can offer you as socials will be guild members who enjoy talking, don't take themselves too seriously, and will be willing to jump in and help with content outside of raids. (Will also point out, Robyn loves fishing and cooking feasts!)
  • What kind of computer, internet connection and ingame latency/framerate you have? (please provide links if possible).

  • Given that we're not joining in the Mythic raiding content, I'll state our equipment is adequate for the content we're playing, and we have very few issues with connectivity.
  • The following questions are provided by our members and used by us as a maturity/sense of humour check. Please read them carefully and try to give your answer some thought as your answers will give us the best guide to your 'fit' with our community.

If you were an orc, what would you be and why?

  • Good old ex-warcheif Garry. Because I was never wrong. 😀
  • Whats the perfect time of day and why?

  • Having recently taken up running, I've a new found appreciation for dusk. Just the right temperature, still light, and can really relax afterwards. As long as the puppies agree.
  • Please name one thing you LIKE most about WoW and one thing you particularly DISLIKE and why.

  • For me, WoW is the video game equivalent of comfort food. I can come back to it at any time and find something new to do. Really do love this game. Dislike? The withered army scenario... I mean, it was great the first few times I did it up to clearing it. But after Robyn dragged me in to do that bloody thing, on numerous characters, for 8 bloody months until that fox dropped... I don't want to see that place ever again.

Hi Matt and thanks for the joint application. What happens now is we put a link to this app in the member's section so members can discuss it and bring any questions they have to you. Normally expect an answer on a social/flex application within 48 hours. Please check back from time to time in case there are any questions that need answering as this will help speed the process. Thanks. Chi
