Assassination/Outlaw Rogue – Accepted

What sort of membership are you applying for?

  • Progress, Flex
  • What characters are you applying with? Please link from armory, wowprogress or some other site, in order of importance to you. Include also your main character if you are applying with an alt.

  • The character I wish to raid with is Bangbangswag - Draenor, I play a Fury Warrior called Jopperavager - Draenor as a main with a weekday raiding guild.

  • First Alt Character Link

  • Why did you choose the class/spec you’re applying with and what kinds of content have you played on it so far? What experience you have playing other specs of your class?

  • I chose Assassination Rogue because it's the highest performing spec at the moment and it's rarely been in my experience a weak class, at least one of it's 3 specs is going to be a good contender for raiding, additionally it is unlikely to fall out of favour in M+. This character has seen some Mythic kills in Uldir, purely for the 4+ rogue strat on Zul, I've not played it a great deal in higher content but don't have much issue adapting to playing a newer spec if I'm required to. I also like to spend alot of time doing M+ on my Rogue, I was playing warrior previously but it just doesn't cut it even if I can keep up with my team on DPS. I last played Sub on Zul before they nerfed it, before that it was just messing about during ToS, I play outlaw in M+ and I am capable of playing it for raids if it is a worthwhile move. I can supply you links for multiple characters logs (mainly renames) since Emerald Nightmare if that is something you're interested in seeing.
  • Tell us about your history in WoW. Previous realms, guilds, best achievements, favourite mounts and anything else you want to add.

  • I started playing when I was pretty young in Vanilla - my two older brothers both had accounts, I got one of my own sometime in Vanilla and achieved rank 10 in pvp on a warrior before I gave up and rode a bike around a fuck load for a summer and let my rank degrade. I went on to play Warrior a little more for TBC and rerolled around the release of SSC to a shaman, I played Resto Shaman for the majority of TBC switching to Enhancement in late BT progression clearing up to 3/6 SWP before the prepatch hit, I then went on to clear Naxx 25 well before Ulduar release until I took a break for exams and decided not to return until some point in patch 5.4, cleared Normal (now heroic) SoO, I didn't play a great deal of WoD. In Legion I didn't do anything worthy of note until Antorus as a WW monk where I cleared Argus with a world rank around 1030. I rerolled to warrior for BFA to allow some rerolls within my guild and have kept with it since in the same guild, I also cleared Uldir somewhere around world rank 1100. I am currently progressing Stormwall Blockade on the same Warrior, there are some wipe logs if you'd like to check out my performance for it.
  • Who are you outside WoW? Please make sure to include things like the name your friends call you, your age, where do you live, what do you do when not playing WoW, family situation and anything else you’d like to add here that would affect your ability to play with Weekend Warriors in the coming months.

  • My name is Liam, i'm 25, from and still in the UK. I mainly have some outdoorsy pursuits - I like canoeing, climbing and hiking, that sort of thing, I also like lifting weights but I am pretty casual in that regard. I can't really foresee any reason I wouldn't be able to make every raid for the rest of the raid tier and beyond really, I can't give any guarantees but I like to live a life that isn't particularly rigid in schedule, my weekends are almost entirely free.
  • How did you hear about Weekend Warriors? What are you expecting from us? What can you offer to us?

  • I was looking for a mythic guild in which to play my rogue purely because I enjoy it enough to put down 8 hours+ onto another guild. I would say I expect that people to show each other enough respect to come to raids prepared both with materials and with the knowledge required for each encounter and obviously progress. As for what I can offer you, I have been raiding mythic for a few tiers now and have been an officer in a guild since my warriors guild was founded, I have insight into encounters you may not have (though I don't know that) and am unlikely to come to an encounter not knowing what to do, i'm pretty easy going but I don't require much feedback to perform better, I tend to hate myself enough without an external impetus to improve on mistakes.
  • What kind of computer, internet connection and ingame latency/framerate you have? (please provide links if possible).

  • I built my current PC in 2014 I think? During WoD for sure, it's a desktop with: I7-4970k 32gb ddr3 ram gtx 980 2 SSDs totalling a little above 1 TB of storage I usually have around 15-21 MS, the last time I missed a raid because of my internet was during ToS progression because someone cut through a main fibre cable supplying the county with an excavator. FPS wise I get somewhere between 40 and 60 in raids, way less in the G'huun room if I remember correctly.

If you were an orc, what would you be and why?

  • Probably an Orc rogue, I'd probably be playing female orc and male orcs on my characters if it wasn't for those darn racials.
  • Whats the perfect time of day and why?

  • I really like it when the sun is setting, but especially when it's raining and the weather has turned slightly colder than it had been in the day and you curl up in your covers and it's just like maximum comfy.
  • Please name one thing you LIKE most about WoW and one thing you particularly DISLIKE and why.

  • I really like the developments on the mythic+ system, particularly the seasonal affixes, I feel pretty sad that I wasn't as good as I am now with regards to doing challenge mode dungeons in Pandaria and WoD. I dislike the way gear works in a few ways, I wish TF was a bit less ridiculous, I didn't mind the +6 ilvls we got in Throne of thunder up until the end of WoD. I also dislike the way gear isn't really notable anymore, I don't even know the names of any of the gear I use, but I can tell you I never saw a bloody syphon of the nathrezim drop from Supemus for the entirety of progress, I kinda miss that - knowing what items are called outside of trinkets.

Hi Liam and thanks for the application. What happens now is we put a link to this app in the member's section so members can discuss it and bring any questions they have to you. Normally expect an answer on a raid team application within 72 hours. Please check back from time to time in case there are any questions that need answering as this will help speed the process. Thanks. Scabb p.s. We note you have selected "Progress, Flex" membership, can you be more specific as it's really one or the other as they're separate membership types.
Sorry, I would pick progress as a primary then. I was actually unsure what Flex meant now I come back to it. Again sorry for the fuck up x
Not a problem, thanks for clearing it up.
Hello Liam and thanks for your patience. I'm happy to say we've decided to offer you trial membership of Weekend Warriors and its progress raiding team. Please poke someone when next online and ready for an invite to the guild. Welcome aboard!
